Updated April 24, 2020

The Retirement Administration Service Center’s call operations are severely limited due to the government-issued shelter in place order.

Please contact the RASC by sending a secure message via UCRAYS, at For how-to guides and resources to help you get started on UCRAYS and take care of essential tasks related to your retirement account, check out Getting help with UC Retirement At Your Service (UCRAYS).

If you’re planning to retire soon, please see What to do if you’re preparing for retirement

If you have an urgent issue and you are unable to send a secure message via UCRAYS, it may take longer to hear from the RASC.

RASC representatives will respond by phone to extremely urgent issues only. Call 1-800-888-8267 and select one of the following four options to leave a voicemail:

  • Option one if you are locked out of your UCRAYS account.
  • Option two to report a death or get help with Survivor benefits.
  • Option three for retirement benefit payment issues, including direct deposit and stop payment requests.
  • Option four if you have been denied medical services due to problems with your retiree insurance coverage
