University Section Club

For a century, the University Section Club has been a cornerstone of the UC Berkeley community, transforming lives through the powerful combination of friendship and philanthropy. Founded in 1927 and now celebrating our 100th year, we began as a circle of faculty wives seeking connection and have evolved into a vibrant registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization welcoming anyone passionate about building lasting relationships while supporting Cal students in need. At the heart of our mission lies our centering philosophy: Philanthropy, Fun, Friendship.

With over 300 dedicated members working together without paid staff or overhead, we have provided more than $1 million in emergency funding to students facing crises as they approach graduation. Every dollar raised through our generous donations and fundraising efforts goes directly to supporting underserved UCB students and scholars.
