Troubleshooting pre or post retirement issues

****NOTE****
March - July is a busy time for the Retirement Administration Service Center (RASC). Wait times to get in touch with the RASC Customer Service Center can be 30 min. - 1 hour or more. Below are some tips and resources that may be most helpful in getting answers to your retirement questions.  Queries about the status of your retirement process or specific questions about your retirement case, must go through RASC. Neither the campus or LBNL has access to information specific to your case.

For faculty emeritus who have lost temporary access to their bmail or other campus service, e.g. library or software, this is only temporary and can be resolved by contacting your HR representative to check that your emeritus appointment has been entered into UC PATH. Please see below for guidance.

If you are retiring from LBNL and need to retain access to your email and services, please notify LBNL HR prior to retirement.
For non-emeriti retirees, your bmail account should remain active for three months post retirement; to maintain your bmail account beyond this time, you contact the Retirement Center (ucbrc@berkeley.edu)
